Mapac is a family run company, founded in 1955 as a bag manufacturer for industry. When the current Chairman’s daughters started school, he realised that there was a need for a compact school bag and he invented the very first school book bag!

UNIFORM DETAILS AND CODE OF DRESS
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Pupils are expected to wear the correct uniform at all times unless they are given other instructions.
Pupils must be clean, neat and tidy on arrival at school.
All articles of clothing, including shoes, must be clearly marked with the pupil’s name.
HAIRSTYLES AND ORNAMENTS
Pupils should have neat, sensible hairstyles. Mohican-style, shaved head and shaved patterns are not permitted. Long hair should be neatly tied back for health and safety reasons. Hair accessories should be practical and in school colours.
JEWELLERY
The only jewellery allowed in school is a wristwatch and plain stud earrings. These should not be worn on days when PE is taking place.

It is advisable for children in Nursery/Reception to keep a dark coloured raincoat and a pair of wellies in school.

HATS, GLOVES AND SCARVES
When cold, hats gloves and scarves are advisable but they should be plain. In summer, sun hats may be worn outside on hot sunny days. Plain yellow sunhats or caps are preferred.
SHOES
Appropriate school-style black/brown shoes are to be worn, which must be kept clean and presentable. No boots, trainers or fashion shoes, including shoes with inbuilt gimmicks (such as a flashing LEDs).
In summer sensible school sandals may be worn, which may be brown, black or white.
In severe weather conditions, pupils may wear boots or wellies to travel into school but must change into their uniform shoes once inside.

Second hand uniform is kept by the Parent Teacher Association. Sales are held in school occasionally, but the PTA can be asked about availability of items at any time. Many of these items are in very good condition and well worth your consideration.
