School uniform policy

It is school policy that all children wear school uniform when attending school or when participating in a school organised event outside normal school hours.

The policy for school uniform is based on the notion that school uniform

• promotes a sense of pride in the school;
• engenders a sense of community and belonging toward the school;
• is practical and smart;
• makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance;
• is regarded as suitable wear for school and is considered by parents/carers as good value for money; and
• is designed with health and safety in mind.

The school uniform policy is an integral part of the school's commitment to equality and inclusion. The governing body believes the school uniform policy allows all pupils to establish a shared identity and celebrate what they have in common, whilst respecting diversity.

All children

RED crew neck sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan– may be worn with the schoollogo embroidered on to it

Boys
Grey shorts or long trousers
White or red polo shirt – may be worn with the school logo embroidered on to it

Girls
White blouse or white or red polo shirt – may be worn with the school logo embroidered on to it
Grey skirt, pinafore dress or trousers
Summer – red and white check dress

PE kit
White T-Shirt
Navy/black Shorts
Plimsolls for indoors

School office

The school office sells book bags and has a limited stock of uniform with the school logo.

Naming of uniform and lost property

Please make sure that all your child's clothes are clearly marked, preferably with name tapes. Shoes and plimsolls should also have names written inside. The school will endeavour to reunite lost named items with their owners.Unnamed lost property will be disposed of at the end of each term.
