School uniform identifies the children as pupils of this school and fosters pride in the school. Wearing uniform ensures children are not competing with each other to wear the latest fashion and putting parents and other children under pressure to conform. Children are expected to comply with the uniform requirements. Sweatshirts are expected to have the school logo.

MUST BE PLAIN, BLACK, FLAT SOLED (NOT WEDGE HEELED) and suitable for playground activities
They should not have raised heels, open toes or sling-backs. Sandals should not be open-toed. All shoes should give good all round protection to the feet. These are important Health and Safety requirements.
A change of footwear should be sent to school on days when children have outdoor sports or when the weather is bad. Trainers may be also be worn at playtimes.
Navy shorts White T-shirt Small hand towel with hanging loop Drawstring bag, clearly marked with name, for kit. In accordance with County guidelines, children have bare feet when they take part in P.E. in the school hall.
Children in all classes need track-suits or similar warm clothing during the winter months. All children need trainers for outdoor games. Please ensure that infant children have trainers with velcro fasteners. It is desirable that children in Class 3 have football boots and shin pads and have a complete change of clothing and a towel for their football sessions during the Autumn and Spring terms.
An overall (an old shirt with elasticated cuffs and elastic across the top button is ideal - the shirt is worn back to front). Swimming Swimming trunks must be worn by boys for the junior swimming lessons at RAF Brize Norton. Swimming shorts are not allowed by the pool staff. Parents must request a permission form, if a child needs to wear goggles. The pool staff have the final say on whether a child may wear goggles. The wearing of jewellery, other than wrist watches and stud earrings, is not permitted. It is a County Health and Safety regulation that stud earrings are removed for PE and swimming. If children cannot remove and replace earrings themselves they should not be wearing them to school. Staff are not allowed to handle earrings for Health and Safety reasons. Many young children, who have their ears pierced, frequently end up with infected ear lobes due to the children not fully understanding the necessary aftercare. LOST PROPERTY There is a “Lost Property” box outside Class 2 where parents may look for mislaid garments etc.
