CLOTHING

There is a school uniform and we have a variety of excellent quality items bearing the school logo, which can be purchased from John Cheatle, Charles Street, Leicester.   These are designed to be smart and practical and to give the children a sense of belonging to the school. Please mark all clothes and shoes with the child’s name, If anything is lost, please tell the child’s teacher immediately.

Children should not generally wear any type of jewellery in school other than plain ear studs.   Other items may catch on equipment during PE or Craft lessons and can be dangerous. The only exception is for items of religious significance, and in these cases we may ask children to tape necklaces, armbands, etc. to their bodies as a safety measure during certain lessons.

Children will often need to bring money to school (e.g. to pay for dinners) and we recommend the use of a neck-purse. This can be tucked away inside the child’s clothing for safekeeping and does not then represent a danger at playtimes.

Boys:

            White shirt, school tie and red v-neck sweatshirt with school logo or

            White shirt and red round neck sweatshirt with school logo or

            Red cardigan with school logo

            Plain medium grey long trousers

            Grey socks – long or short

            Plain black shoes (not trainers)

            Alternative for summer – grey shorts / short sleeve shirt

Girls:

            White blouse, school tie and red cardigan with school logo or

            White blouse and red round or v-neck sweatshirt with school logo or

            Grey skirt / trousers

            White socks or white or grey tights

            Plain black shoes (not trainers)

            Alternative for summer – red and white check dress, short sleeve shirt

P.E. Kit: (boys and girls)

            Plain white tee shirt and white shorts with black plimsolls.

Outdoor games:

Any type of suitably warm clothing (e.g. tracksuit, joggers/sweatshirt).  

Please note that jeans are not suitable.

A pair of well fitting sports trainers (not fashion trainers).
